The Deputy of National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Mr. Grigor Avalyan hold a working meeting with Noyemberyan municipality staff, the Council of Elders and representatives of organizations involved in social and economic development of the community in the Municipality of Noyemberyan on December 16, 2017.

Within the framework of the program of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) “Good local government in the South Caucasus” with the assistance of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany and co-financing the Armenian Office of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the city of Noyemberyan, Tavush region of Armenia, the official opening of the Office for Citizens Service took place.

Development Aid together with International financial institutions and representatives of worldwide development agencies have organized a meeting for the International Cooperation and Development Forum on November 20th in Yerevan on the subject of Upcoming Business Opportunities and of the importance of International Cooperation for the Socio-Economic Development of the country.

On August 22, 2017, “Tavush region Integrated and Balanced Economic Development” project team held its regular working meeting with representatives of Tavush farms and community leaders. The meeting participants were introduced about the process of planned works. The farmers were interested on detailed plan of measures to overcome the possible barriers of the project action.

The project staff also highlighted the role of participation of community leaders in the project implementation process, which should be expressed in their direct support to both individuals and organizations producing and processing agricultural goods.

The heads of Ayrum community 7 municipalities presented their general economic capacities, available human and technical resources. The participants highlighted the project’s impact on Tavush rural communities’ economic development.

In order to increase the involvement of Tavush Region youth groups in community problem solving process, the small grants were provided by CCD Non-Governmental Organization to support 40 social vulnerable families in Noyemberyan community: Noyemberyan, Berdavan, Dovegh, Jujevan, Baghlan, Voskepar, Voskevan , Koti and Barekamavan.

EU-funded “Tavush Region Integrated and Balanced Economic Development” project led by “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO always encourages new investment opportunities in Tavush region, which arises much interest among local population to be actively involved in project implementation process.
