On March 15, 2017, “Tavush region Integrated and Balanced Economic Development” project team held its first informational meeting on further action planning with the participation of community leaders and representatives of municipality of Noyemberyan.
The participants were introduced with the planned works, and in particular, it was noted that a few processing factories will be established in the frames of the project: a Diary Company, a Dried fruit SME, a Tea production SME, a Pilot chicken farm and a Meat-processing SME, the premier objective of which is to promote large-scale consumption of raw materials produced by local farmers (milk, meat, fruit, wild berries and herbs).
Community leaders highlighted the project’s impact on Tavush rural communities’ economic development. They also greeted the project initiative to actively involve the unemployed rural population in project activities and highlighted the possibility of livestock development.
